AIA Leadership Conference

The Challenge

The annual Leadership Conference brings together more than 300 of the organisation’s top leaders from across the group to discuss successes to date, explore emerging opportunities and plan the execution of bold strategies. In 2019, AIA was celebrating its Centennial year and wanted a special Leadership Conference to kick-off a 12-month programme of special events and activities across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Approach

To celebrate AIA’s 100-year journey of pioneering growth, the conference was held in Shanghai, where the company’s story began in 1919. For the audiences, the annual Leadership Conference provided an intimate and personalised experience that celebrated the organisations’ history, its achievements and its future.

LORE managed all aspects around the conference including bus transfers of delegates for welcome cocktails on the bund. Dividing over 300 delegates across four lunch restaurants within the hotel and delivering a Conference to Gala Dinner ballroom turnaround within 1 hour. When asked to create a group photo for all delegates, LORE sourced the best location, took the photo, framed the prints and hand delivered them individually to all delegates within the same day.

At the Conference, LORE created a historical multimedia wall displaying key AIA milestones and designed a unique stage made up of large curved LED walls and a sculptural halo to frame content. In addition to the set build, all digital content for the conference was bespoke including the choreographed dance used for the opening performance. With compelling and diverse international speakers, and an elevated event design that mirrored the companies leading status in the marketplace, the Leadership Conference has set a new standard for AIA conferences.
