AIA Virtual Leadership Conference

 

The Challenge

The AIA Leadership Conference is the standout annual event for AIA senior leaders and executives across 17 APAC markets. The highly anticipated event offers the opportunity to inspire, be inspired, share, and set the agenda for the following year.

The global pandemic meant that the Leadership Conference needed to move online and into a virtual space, new and unchartered territory for AIA.

As long-standing partners with AIA, LORE was tasked with providing creative solutions to convert the conference into an engaging, virtual event. Translating and educating AIA on the parameters of a virtual vs physical event was one of our biggest challenges, in addition, there was a need to incorporate interactions for stronger audience engagement.  At the same time, it was imperative the conference was risk averse, with the number of senior leaders and executives attending and the sensitive nature of the conference content.

The Approach

How do you prepare a great AIA Leadership Conference considering the pandemic?

Taking a bold yet safe approach, LORE seized the opportunity to conceive and deliver an integrated and highly progressive virtual Leadership Conference. State of the art virtual technology including a fully customised 3D virtual set and motion tracked cameras was utilized as an expression of AIA’s digital vision under its new leadership. Within this environment, AIA’s top executives lead by example practicing first-hand the power of digital transformation.

Working closely with AIA’s in-house IT department for a safe and secure virtual event, the conference was webcast via a private, secure bespoke website across 17 markets to 349 senior leaders and executives located across the APAC.

Our audience engagement strategy was simplified based on risk factors whilst maintaining engaging content and interactive elements that were easy to follow, understand and participate in. This included real-time AR enriched content and a lifestyle mood and tone with two hosts to take participants through the conference. World renowned international speakers Paul Polman and Miles Hilton-Barber were interviewed providing valuable insights and inspiration for participants. The conference ended with a virtual message from new AIA Global CEO Lee Yuan Siong that included a customised AR activation for all participants to enjoy.
