Corporate Gifting

The Challenge

A property developer, renowned for their highly sought-after annual Corporate Party, a reflection of their gratitude to their portfolio of tenants. 2020 was the first year the annual Christmas event would be unable to take place. The property developer still wanted to express their appreciation and gratitude to their portfolio after what has been a challenging and difficult year, keeping some of the 15 year plus tradition despite the challenges of the pandemic. 

Having partnered closely with the property developer for their corporate party in 2018 and 2019, LORE was invited to provide creative directions and solutions for a festive thank you gift to be hand delivered across the portfolio. Keeping with tradition, the creative direction would include a creative festive theme to translate across the gifting collaterals and the costume direction for the messengers. Given the current climate and pandemic, it was imperative that our directions had a balance of sustainability, gratitude, and elegance without being overly outlandish. 

The Approach

LORE’s creative direction, Merry & Bright, celebrated the festive season with warmth, traditional Christmas spirit and gratitude. The gift box was reimagined into smaller, more intimate gift that could be shared amongst the receiver and their close ones. Every part of the gift box was made from sustainable materials, locally made and fully reusable and the premium gifts offered could be reused and recycled.  

Several challenges presented themselves, from a very tight 5-week timeline from approval of the direction to sourcing and execution. To navigating a project like this during a global pandemic where international suppliers and deliveries of goods are restricted and strained, and the number of gifts to accommodate is high. In addition, adapting to the on-going, ever changing government guidelines on COVID-19 health and safety which would directly impact the delivery of the gifts.   

Keeping the tradition, sentiment and prestige of the hand delivered invitations to the corporate party, all gift-boxes were hand delivered by our carefully selected ambassadors in festive attire for a theatrical gifting experience. LORE implemented a strict health and safety protocol for each team of ambassadors considering the recent Covid-19 concerns and government guidelines.
