French May Arts Festival
Chinachem Celebrates French May 2025

The Challenge

The partnership between Chinachem and the French May Arts Festival, spanning five years, features the French GourMay Markets, in-mall performances, and public workshops. This initiative aims to enrich the community by promoting arts and culture.

LORE was entrusted to bring and manage an international performance group for a minimum of 16 performance showcases over four weekends, a grand opening ceremony participation, and 8 interactive workshops across multiple public malls.

LORE invited Cie Racines Carrées and Nabil Ouelhadj's acclaimed production "9.81" for its Hong Kong debut. and ensured the handling of a 355-kg Olympic trampoline at three shopping malls: Central Market, Nina Mall, and D·Park.

The Approach

LORE leveraged its extensive network to find and select a one-of-a-kind dynamic hip hop and acrobatic troupe capable of delivering emotionally engaging 20-minute shows and the workshops in both outdoor and indoor malls environments.

Our team managed artist logistics, venue coordination, visa & licensing, and on-site operations, ensuring safety and efficiency. Despite the challenges of navigating narrow mall spaces and coordinating multiple venues, LORE’s meticulous planning led to the successful engagement of over X,XXX attendees. (Grateful if Chinachem can provide) The 16 performances and 8 workshops received enthusiastic public acclaim, fostering community involvement.

The visually captivating shows generated significant word-of-mouth buzz and organic social media sharing.

To further support the community, LORE donated the trampoline to a local gymnastics school, which gained visibility by offering in-turn additional public workshops in June, enhancing sustainability and fostering ongoing engagement.

The total number of physical visitations of the performance and workshop is 4,000.

Accolades

"For French May's second collaboration with LORE, we are once again thoroughly impressed by their expertise in planning and managing our month-long event. They adapted swiftly and provided creative solutions to any obstacles we faced. It’s always a pleasure to work with their teams in such a positive and dedicated environment."
