Hong Kong FinTech Week

The Challenge

Hong Kong FinTech Week (HKFW) is Asia's global financial technology event where the FinTech world gathers to shape the future. It brought together FinTech  founders, bank executives, VCs, regulators and FinTech-savvy audiences for a week of events from 30 October to 5 November 2023.

The event attracted more than 35,000 attendees and garnered over 6.2 million online views, featured over 955 distinguished speakers, including the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, over 700 exhibitors, and more than 30 international delegations from over 110 economics.

LORE challenge was to create, produce and deliver in six months a trade show, conference and satellite events experience that positioned HKFW as a global icon in the FinTech industry. The HKFW 2023 doubled the size and capacity of the previous year.

The Approach

LORE oversaw the show production, lighting design and onsite management for 5 live stages with nearly 200 stage sessions spanning across two conference days. LORE was also responsible for real-time live feeding and streaming to over 100 countries ensuring seamless connections to millions of online attendees on multiple platforms from the event app to YouTube.

To ensure consistent delivery, LORE crafted the whole experience design and flow, using the metaphorical road to enlightenment from the arrival space, stage design, sponsors and networking areas, lounges and conference touchpoints, showcasing the latest trends, innovations and expert insights.

Furthermore, LORE took on the role as expert consultant for the entire project management and production for the whole event supporting with processes, recruitment, safety and overall concept for the event.

HKFW is organised by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) and InvestHK, and co-organised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Insurance Authority (IA).
