
Mustela Virtual Event
The Challenge
The annual Seminar is a highly anticipated event. It is the primary opportunity for distributors, partners and subsidiaries across the APAC region to come together to share successes and learnings while encouraging growth in 2021 for the Laboratoires Expanscience brand, Mustela.
Due to the global pandemic, Laboratoires Expanscience partnered with LORE to provide a virtual solution that meant they could still communicate with their audience in a safe and inclusive, but engaging way. LORE worked with the Mustela team to study the usual physical event and create a virtual Seminar, all within a 4-week timeline.
The Approach
The virtual Seminar was streamed through a bespoke website platform, to audiences across the APAC region, including China. To make the most of the speakers’ schedules, the event was a mixture of pre-recorded and live segments to ensure an engaging and personal delivery that resonated with the audience and upheld the standard expected at the annual Seminar.
LORE collaborated with the Mustela team to refine the agenda and content to best suit a virtual delivery, in a structured but digestible way, across two-days. A fundamental deliverable was to find creative ways to encourage interaction from the audience that maintained the balance of being informative but fun.

The Seminar was recorded and streamed from a green screen studio. LORE designed and produced multiple dynamic virtual background layouts to showcase a variety of content. The Seminar consisted of speakers from various global locations, including a live stream from the Philippines partner sharing social media best practice, videos from Laboratoires Expanscience Head Quarters in France and external speakers. LORE developed a series of interactive games that were integrated within the agenda encouraging friendly competition between audience members. The results were presented, live, on the final day of the Seminar during the virtual awards ceremony.
